Hola!!!

This week was crazy! We had transfers and we had to rush to the pension from the cyber because my companion Hermana Lopez was transferring out of Plottier and her new companion was waiting for her in Neuquén. And it was SOOOOO WINDY which made life difficult but we got there. Once Hermana Lopez left I was with Hermanas Inga and Malmrose for the day. Oh also the power went out and there were no taxis to pick up my companion. So that was fun. Haha also there were policemen outside with their whistles directing traffic. That happens a lot here in Argentina. lol

We had stake conference yesterday!!! That was fun! There was 15 of us that went in a trafi. It's like a little bus, but it only has seats for 12, haha, so it was super squishy but sweet!!!!! Also, Angel, our inactive member came so that was awesome too! It's amazing to see the change that is taking place in his life and he has started to accept and live the gospel again!!! He's really changing, reading and understanding more. He also met with the bishop this week! So that was awesome!!!!

Marisol and Aldana sadly didn't make it to church this Sunday =( things were a little crazy at their house this week. Marisols mom ended up in the hospital.  We visited her yesterday and she was just so upset. She can't go visit Marisol anymore because of the boyfriend. So we're gonna visit the mom and make sure she's ok. So that's really hard. We're just trying to find a way to help this family. It's so hard especially with Marisol having a new baby and stuff.

Also we contacted a reference this week. Super cool story, right now he's studying with testigos de johova (Jehovah Witness). There is so MANY of them HERE!!!!! But he loves the bible and is studying that.  He had a Book of Mormon that the missionaries had given him back in 1994!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so cool, like oldish and cool looking!!!! So were gonna meet with him this next week!!!

Also this week when we were at Marisol and Aldanas house, Nahi (Marisol's younger daughter), she dumped this whole bottle of rubbing alcohol on their new little dog. The dog cask muerto (almost died), seriously, there was so much liquid. We were trying to hurry and untie the dog but the smell was so strong. The dogs eyes were closing and its head was falling back so we quickly bathed it and there was no warm water. So we were heating up water like crazy trying to save the dog. But all is good and it lived. Haha crazy. Nahi is cray.

This week was super good. Just adjusting to transfers. My companion treats me like a 5 year old. Haha so here's hoping things get better. Transfers be so fun...

Love you guys thanks for the emails and for sending me a SUITCASE!!!! =) I can't wait to get it.  LOVE YOU SO MUCH

BESITOS!!!
XOXOXO

Monday, September 8, 2014

Ahhhhhh hola! I loved all the letters this week! Sounds like Jaymi is doing so good in Peru! I love it!!!!!!!!! So close! Venga Argentina Jay!! Hahaha

Well we have transfers today! I'm staying and my new companion is Hermana Santos!!! She's from Peru and she's the oldest here in the mission. Hermana Lopez says she's like 35 or 36 years old!! Hahahhah ahhhh so we'll see how that goes, and she's only been out 3 weeks more than me in the mission! So that will be an adventure.

Also Hermana Inga, my companion in Roca, is coming to Plottier as my hermana lider!!!!!!!!! So stoked! She'll be companions with Hermana Malmrose!!! Vamos! So stoked! She can give me all the updates that went down in Roca! My area favorita!! =)

So this week was hard to work, haha we went to Neuquén 2 times for medico and Hermana Lopez was super sick one day throwing up and stuff so we didn't really leave that day. Also Friday we had capacitacion, coordelacion, and consejo. So we didn't leave the capilla that day. It was nuts. Then Saturday we walked like seriously 1.5 hours for lunch, every Saturday to the family Morales. My favourite family, they are seriously so funny! They both served a mission. The pic of them is with the 3 girls. Adorable no! I love them!! She cooks so good too! Then we went to their house Sunday for lunch too! They cooked asado!!! Steak! Chicken, chorro, pan, salads. It was so sweet!

Also Marisole had HER BABY!!! A GIRL!!! I attached pics of them too! So sweet! A little girl! She's adorable. I wanted to hold her soooo bad! But we can't =(   Also Aldana didn't come to church yesterday, she needs to come to church one more time before she can get baptized. And this Saturday wouldn't have worked tampoco because we have stake conference. So pray that she comes to that so she'll be able to get baptized the 20th!!! =) Whoooo vamos!! It was also Matias birthday yesterday. The son to Marisole. He got a phone and was so stoked. Seriously, kids of all ages have phones down here. It's cray. Haha

Oh and another cool experience. We've found a member inactivo like 2 or 3 weeks ago. His name is Angel. He's a little interesting, but we haven't had a lesson with him yet because we can't be alone with him. Usually we just talk outside of his house and answer his questions. He started reading the BOM and we have given him pamphlets to read and he has!! He's cool and he came to church yesterday andddd paid his tithing!!! Super amazing! Except those fetching lider de zonas thought he was an investigator and took him to their ward. So we didn't even talk to him only saw him once.  I'm learning a lot of patience with the zone leaders. It's so annoying. Our whole zone is so sick of them and how they do things. But that's part of the mission. Nothing I can do but learn to be patient.

But the work is really good here! Things are progressing really well! More inactive members are coming to church, more investigadores are assisting the church, and more importantly our mission is working to have a temple here in the patagonia!!! Amazing stuff here in Argentina! I love it! The mission is the best! I'm so happy for the decision I made to come out here and to serve nuestro padre celestial! I LOVE IT!

LOVE YOU ALL!!!!
Have fun at school! And Dray and Quin keep practicing the piano because I wanna hear you play when i get home!!!

Love you all
Besito!!

Monday, September 1, 2014 - 8 MONTHS!!!!

Well this week was good!!!

We had a ward activity this week, called viaje a Hawaii, trip to Hawaii. It was so good, and super successful!!! We had at least 70 people there. It was the best. So we were in an airplane that came to Hawaii, had a luau type thing, then went back on the airplane. It crashed, everyone "died", then we taught them all about the reinos de gloria. It was amazing, fun, spiritual, and awesome!!!! Aldana and Marisole came and Matias. (Aldanas brother)

At church also there was a lot of people!!! Marisole and Aldana. One of our inactive families. So it was awesome and super spiritual.

Also this is week 6 of transfers so next Monday I'll be getting a new companion!!! =l Vamos. Haha muy nerviousa! Haha pero es la mision.

Oh and on Saturday there were 3 baptisms in the other ward, the mom of Marisole and a dad and his daughter. It was so amazing! So spiritual. The mom of Marisole after her baptism was like "well I'm baptized". So cutteee. Also when the dad was confirmed with the Holy Ghost, he was tearing up! So amazing!!!! I guess his wife was inactive but she's active now. Their oldest son was baptized 3 weeks ago and now the whole family are members!!!! Super amazing!

Also super huge thank you to gma and gpa Cook and gma and gpa Miller!!!! I got all my letters and my package and that made my day!!! Love you guys sooo much!!!

Monday, August 25, 2014

Well this week was cray!! Kinda... no se.

First off Aldana was going to get baptized this Saturday, but cayo, um it fell? Because she didn't come to church this Sunday and you need 3 assists to get baptized. So she has a new date for the 13th of September!!! We're gonna do everything possible to get her to her baptism!!! She's so amazing and has a testimony about basically everything!!! She's awesome!!! And her mom, Marisole can't get baptized right now because she got back with her marido, boyfriend, lover face. So they aren't living the law of chastity and she can't get baptized. First they need to get married. It was the worst when we went to teach them this day we had the baptism registry for Aldana and Marisole was like where's mine! I can get baptized this Saturday and were like uhhh... vamos a hablar de este. Was the worst and the thing is that Marisole doesn't understand things very well. So she thought she couldn't get baptized because her marido doesn't go to church.

But things are better now. We taught them yesterday and they understood and Aldana is stoked to get baptized!!! I wish I could send pictures but this cyber doesn't let me. It's amazing how Marisole and Aldana have so much faith and desire to be baptized that it doesn't matter what obstacles come in their way, like not attending church or needing to get married, they're still pushing through it and doing everything they can to get baptized!! They're seriously amazing!!!!!

This week was also the birthday of Hermana Malmrose. Like my bff!! She's so sweet! So we were invited to a hermanas house to celebrate her birthday and she had SO MUCH FOOD. Everyone was saying it's Christmas haha it was fun!!!

Oh and this week we went to the bishops house!! Only Hermana Velintene was there (his wife) she is like my best friend here. We're so crazy together. We just went there and started cleaning her house. I just picked up the broom and started cleaning and she's like no hermanas, but we cleaned her whole house, swept, mopped, dusted and she was so happy!!! Then I made her cook tortas fritas for us!!! Haha I love families like that!!! =)

Anyway that's my week! I love the mish!!!! Thanks for all your support, emails, love and everything!! Makes pday awesome!!

Love you guys!!!!

HOLA!!!!!!

Thank you so much for your emails this week! Was the best ever! Keaty you're the bomb!!!

Bueno, this week started off with a conference in Neuquén with the President! Me and another Hermana did the musical number, I played the piano and she played the flute! She's like my best friend here in the mish! I love her!!! The conference was super good! Talked a lot about integrity! There were 3 talks we had to study for the conference! It was super good! Super spiritual, and then the missionaries who are leaving for their homes also bore their testimonies! Two of them were my leaders in Roca (my first area) so it was super sad to see them go!!

Also we had a service activity last Saturday, we went out to the boonies with the Patriacals family and cleaned up their campo, (cabin). Cleaned up all the dead grass, and lit it on fire! Planted trees! We were there all day! Then they fed us chorripan! It was fun!!! Hard, but fun! Then we were rushing to the pension, to shower in time to make it to a baptism at 6.

The ward had a baptism! Nicolas! He's 8, and so cute! Super chubby, you'd think he was like 10!! haha he's a cutie!!! Also Marisole and Aldana came to the baptism so that was awesome! They are seriously amazing!

Marisole came to church yesterday! Aldana wanted to sleep (she won't have 3 assists to church, so she can't get baptized this 30th of August) which sucks, but it's ok! She's gonna get baptized anyway! haha but church was so amazing! We taught the gospel principles class about reading the scriptures and stuff, Marisole gave the closing prayer which was amazing. It was super sincere! She put all her heart into it, and was crying! Seriously so amazing! She totally felt the spirit!  It was sooooo cute!!! Also in RS to, she was crying, because she wants her marido to come to church as well as her children and to go to the temple! So cute! =) I seriously love this family so much!!!!!!

Anyway, that's my week! =) Super good week! =)

Love you guys!

YOOOOOOOOOOO

This week was so good!! Well my companion was a little sick todavia, but we were able to get some work done! It's the best, mission work!

I'll start with the best, Marisole and Aldana came to church this Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our 2 investigators! Marisole is the mom to Aldana, Aldana turned 15 on Sunday and Marisole is pregnant with her 4th child! She has about 1 month left! And man do miracles ever exist! Marisole was with her marido (I don't know what to call it in English) like when you live together, have kids, but aren't married. He didn't like that we were teaching them, and he didn't want them to go to church. So right now they're separated, he's living with a friend, but now they can go to church and prepare to get baptized AUGUST 30th!!!!!!!!!!!!! =)))))

Marisole's other daughter, who is around 3 years old, came to church with them and was so loud, I just tended her all sacrament, gave her candy, she colored, gave her all the stickers I had, just to keep her quiet, she's crazy!!! In sacrament she grabbed one of the wrappers and shoved it down my shirt hahaha super awkward. It was a lot of work! lol

Also this week we went and did some service for them, we cleaned up their lawn, it was sooooo much work and Marisole thought she could do it all on her own! So us and the other hermanas went and cleaned it all up for them!! =)

Also we had capacitacion this week, it's like a zone conference, so sweet!!!! All the missionaries acted out stuff, and it was too good! Also we have a conference with the president tomorrow. It'll be good! =) Anyway love you guys!!!

Have a good week! =) And a good end to the summer, man 21 days till school starts. cray! love love

Monday, August 4, 2014 - 7 months

Hey familia! =)

This week was really good! =)

We invited Marisole and Aldana to be baptized for August 30th, and they said YES! So we're helping them to prepare for this day! Marisole isn't married but living common-law and he doesn't want anything to do with the church. He won't let them go to church and we visit them when he's at work, which makes things really difficult. Satanas.... but I have faith that we can baptize Aldana! She's seriously so amazing, and has so much animos to get baptized! =)

We did lots of contacting this week. It's the worst knocking doors, but we found a new investigator! She's super evangelic and says amen to everything, it was kinda funny. Si amen, si, amen, AMEN! Haha bueno. The worst is when you get the doors slammed in your face. Walking for hours and hours in the cold, then bomb door, or the people are 'I'm really cold, chau. Oh really, think about us. Guh. Anyway. It's ok.

This week we had around 78 people in church when we normally have 20 people. We brought all the in-actives back into the fold… haha not. It was a baby blessing but equal it was pretty rad. A lot of new people, so it was cool to share what you believe with those who don't know anything. I also played the piano and rocked it. Haha and the President was there because the mom of the baby cooks in the mission home. They're so cute. They can't have babies and adopted this baby and she's so adorable and they are so happy. We also went to their house for lunch after church which was nice. We were there for like 3 hours haha it reminded me of the suppers we'd have with the Elders there and stuff. It was good!

Sunday was also super frustrating because our investigators never came, nor the miembros inactivo. I feel like we do everything we can to meet the needs of the people and to share something that can bring the Spirit into their lives, but then they don't do anything about it. That's the hardest for me. It crappy because our area is all inactive and I don't know. They just have hardened their hearts so much and it sucks. Some houses we can't even get in.

Anyway we continue to work hard despite the difficulty. I love this work and I know this church is so true. I love it soooooooo much! Man I just am so happy to know what we know because I know without the gospel, I'd be a gongshow. haha

Love you guys!
