Hey family,

Thanks so much for the pictures and videos this week! And all the birthday wishes!!!

Do I ever have a week for you guys….

Monday

Pday. We did nothing. Haha our district is so lame and doesn't get along at all. It's kinda sad. So we and the Elders went to this sala de dioramas, where there is all this art and you wear headphones and can look at all the stuff with touchscreen things, it was way cool.

Tuesday

We went to the hospital because Charlie, our menos activo, was in the hospital. He's an alcoholic, and he stopped drinking for 10 days and his body just wasn't functioning anymore. When we got there his whole body was swollen and his skin was yellow, and he wasn't talking. Just there like not looking like him. His family was all there just crying and it was so hard for me. Because we would pass by and visit him everyday! He'd sing to us and we'd laugh and I just really love him so much and it was so hard to see someone you love so much in the hospital dying.

After we walked an hour to the Natalias house, she's a menos activa and we made tacos. So that actually made me happier and just lightened my spirit because I was so sad.

We got back to the pension and I just cried and cried, it was kinda embarrassing. You know like those good shower cries where you think no one hears you but they really do. Awkward. haha

But after my shower I had to pull it together because my companion got a call that she was going home tomorrow in the afternoon. So she's crying and I'm crying, it was such a gong show.

Wednesday

We did a lot of shopping so Hermana Hill could take home some recuerdos. She bought some little things and I was just there to help and support her.

Also that morning we went and bought some ice cream and a drink to take to the familia Blancos (parents of Charlie) and we just sat there and ate ice cream and talked about everything that Charlie did that made us laugh. I started to cry when Hermana Blanco told me that Charlie tole her she has to make a cake for me for my birthday. Charlie is kinda an air head sometimes but he was not forgetting my birthday and I was so shocked that he told her that.

That night I stayed with the other Hermanas because my companion left at 5:00, I brought all my laundry and did it there because we don't have a washing machine and I didn't have any clean clothes left so that was nice.

Thursday

I got my new companion!!! Hermana Sanchez, she's 20 and is from Chile. She had been in the mission for about 10 months, but she went home for depression problems and just got back here a week ago! So it's fun. I feel like I'm training again because she doesn't remember anything.

Oh also a cool story, Nikki Duce served in her barrio or city or something. The sister in law of Christy Duce. SO CRAZY. She's like ya I remember a sister in my ward who had canadian mittens and I was like oh what's her name. Thinking I would have no idea who it was and shes like Hermana Bohmen. I'm like whaaaaaaaaat I totally know her. Cool story eh.

Friday

Friday we went to filli dei, our super far away area, because it's been like 3 weeks since we've been there and we really needed to go. We ate with Hermana Oty (the president of RS) and then she DROVE us to filli dei, such a blessing.

We went and taught some people, more importantly our recent convert, Nicole! We went and visited other people and once we came back we stopped by to say hi to her mom who had just gotten there and then a taxi showed up so we got a ride back to Cultral Co. To filli dei and back without walking. What a blessing.

We also taught our investigador, Jorge, who has been to church 2 times, but hasn't had any lessons. It was good. We taught him about the Book of Mormon and invited him to read it and pray. He has till tomorrow, so we'll see if he completed with his compromiso. We also invited him to pray but he just won't do it and it's so frustrating!!! Any ideas on how you can get someone to pray. He needs to know for himself if the church is true. He's also preparing to be baptized on the 28th, so we'll see if he gets there. Because he really doesn't have any lessons and needs them all before his baptism.

Saturday

We did servicio Saturday morning. Cleaning up a house lot that a family is building on. (I don't know how to explain things in English good anymore) =(  But we just cleaned and moved bricks and stuff and us idiots came in skirts. Thought we were doing servicio in the hospital because that is where we met. Ya nada que ver. I'm all working with a white shirt on and a skirt. So stupid ahaha but I worked igual and we got it all cleaned up for them!!!

That night we went to a menos activas house, her daughter came to church on Sunday and she came to pick her up and sat in sacrament meeting for a bit. So we're hoping they keep progressing. Anyway she made this pasta flora and her daughter dropped it all on the floor. We ate it anyways. Gross, but so good. Argentina.

That night when we were planning I called the familia Blanco to see how they were doing and Charlie ended up passing away at 9 that night. It was super sad to hear. But I already had my cries and I knew he was going to die, so it kinda just was reality then. It just makes me sad when I think about all the fun dorky things we'd do. Like sing and dance and he would be drunk and do funny things. But he's an amazing person, had a huge testimony of the gospel and isn't afraid to share it with people. I remember when he came to our baptism and was sitting in the front row just singing his heart out. I was laughing cause it was so cute, but he really is an amazing person who is doing amazing things on the other side.

Keep the familia Blancos in your prayers! =) They need it!

How's that for a good little journal entry for ya haha.

Oh and yesterday we had interviews with the pres so that's why I never wrote. But I'm good! Just trying to enjoy the mission. To be honest this week sucked and I was just really sad and just felt like my chest was going to blow up. But all is better now!!!

Congrats to Shane who's gonna be a daddy! =)

Love you guys!!!
