Monday, June 30, 2014 - 6 months!!

OK MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This area is sooooo hard. hahahaha it's terrible. lol There was 13 people in sacrament yesterday. lol loveeee it and I had to play the piano and they were songs I didn't know so it was HORRIBLEEEEE. Pero bueno no importa. Haha so this week was pretty good because we found 4 new investigators and 1 NEW BAPTISM DATE!!!!!!!!!!! Whooooooo

We actually had the best lesson ever! The investigator had TONS of questions. We had planned to teach about the Restoration, but she had read the pamphlet and said to us, "baptism really interests me can you teach me about that?" So we did, and she asked really great questions. Like what does Mormon mean (Libro de Mormon) and why was Jesus baptized? Who is the Holy Ghost? What is the priesthood? SO BOMB!  The spirit was really strong, especially when she bore her testimony, you could just feel it. But she has a 2 year old child and I think she's living with the dad, so we'll see how it goes. Love the chastity lessons........

OK, so this one is ridiculous....  a family here who is active and everything doesn't want ANYTHING (well the mom) more to do with the church because she feels alone in the church. We stopped by a few times and everything and they're like bomb. We went to their daughters b-day party, and had cake. We have lunch at their house every Thurs. and now they just decided they're done. Which is super sad because their kids want to go to church. Their son was at church by himself yesterday, passing the sacrament and everything. We stopped by after church and they closed the curtains on us. Sent their 5 year old kid out to say that the parents weren't home (which they were) and then we got a message to not pass by their house ANYMORE. So bueno. That was harsh. Seriously it's so foolish how people act sometimes. Bueno suerte con su salvacion. Ugh. Situations like that in the mission are SO HARD TO TAKE.

Also it is hard to teach during the MUNDIAL. Everyone and their dogs are occupied with the mundial. Hahaha there's nothing we can do. Seriously, Argentina is like a ghost town when Argentina plays and when they win, cars honk for dayyyyyzzzzzz after the game. It's crayyy.

Todavia, we are living with Hermana Liders. It's a really small pension, hahaha like the size of mom and dads bedroom!!!! So small and there are 4 of us. A kitchen and a small bathroom. Haha it's fun. But we did find a new pension, so we'll be moving soon.

Also idk if I told you but there is a couples missionaries in the mission and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!!! My last day in the CCM when I went to the temple with all the latinos because all the greengos left for Paraguay and Uruguay in the morning. So I was solo with people I couldn't talk to, but this Hermana was working at the temple and she was going to this mission on March 27th. So I got to see her this week when they came to sign the contract and it made my life! She's so funny! I love her so much. She's like ya I know flaka Miller. I know skinny Miller haha she doesn't eat flour. It's funny, she's like my momma here! =)

Oh ya, so my boots...they broke, you'll see in the picture. It's super sad. My Steve Maddensssssssssssss =( lol 2 shoes down. 2 to go. Hahaha I'll prob be buying some shoes soon.

Also I encourage you guys to read Mormon 9:17-21, it's so good! Talks about milagros! Miracles! You guys will be seeing a lot of them on trek! =) So excited for the experiences you guys are gonna have this week! I can't wait to hear all about it! You guys will be amazing! Just love those kids like your own. They will love you like 5 years after trek, just like how I love the Tollestrup's so much! They mean a lot to me and I can't wait for you guys to have those relationships! =) suerte! You guys will do amazing!!!!

Love you so much!
Con Amor, Hermana Miller

Monday, June 23, 2014 - PLOTTIER

HOLA FAMILIA!!

Ok Ok I don't know where to start. This week has been the longest week of my life. I feel like I have started the mission over again. But it's all good. I'm learning to love it. It's super hard, this area, has no investigators, no members, everyone is inactive. It's super hard but I'm determined to change that. 30 people in sacrament. 30. haha so small and yes mom I played the piano. I've decided it's probably what I'll be doing for the rest of my mission.

My companion is from Nicaragua, she's tight. I really like her. She has been out almost a year in the mission. She's been sick this week though....so we didn't work the whole week. I freaking just want to work. haha

The mundial, man it's crazy here. Argentina won again and for like 2 hours after the game cars just drove around and honked. We were studying because there would be no people who would listen to us, obviously. But it was all good. Also I have a jersey from Argentina.

Right now we're living with the Hermana Lideres in their pension. So there is 4 people in the pension and it's small and I study at the table and the table is in front of my closet and it's super annoying, but I think were changing pensions this week. Yay.

Oh and also when I was going to Plottier, the taxi driver didn't know where to go and I was in the taxi alone, lost, without a cellphone for 1.5 hours. It was so ridiculous. When he filled up with gas I had to get out of the car, crazy. 200 pesos later. Ridiculous. I was like bueno. Where are these people, I called Hermana Inga, who called the zone leader, who didn't answer, then the district leader, who called Hermana Lideres, then she called the presidentes assistant, who called Hermana Lideres, who called the taxi drivers cellphone, it was crazy.
Haha but i made it! Safe and sound. I hope everything is well back home. I miss you guys a ton ton ton. Love you so much.

HOLA FAMILIA

I'M GETTING TRANSFERRED!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so I'm going to Plottier, with Hermana Lopez. I think she's from Honduras but I don't really know. I'm kinda freaking out because my companion was like vas a morir con ella. That I'm gonna die with her. So ya that'll be fun. I'm kinda excited to leave because this transfer has been super hard. With my companion not being able to leave the pension lately, when we decided to drop all of our investigators.  It's been hard. I'm excited to work and work and everything!!!

This week was good! We went to Neuquén for medico and they found the problem with Hermana Inga, so that's all good! Also when I was in Neuquén I met an Elder Furlanich who works in the office and he's from Lethbridge. I KNOW HIS BROTHER. He's Breanne Taylor's boyfriend, she's from Raymond. So ya cool no. Well I don't know know his brother, only through like Breanne's instagrams, but anyway. Connections. It's so cool!

Also HAPPY FATHERS DAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! TO DAD!!! especially and all the grandpas out there and to all my uncles, great uncles, everything!!! I love you all so much.

Yesterday was super sad. Saying goodbye to all the families here that I love sooo much. I seriously feel like Roca is my home and that all the members here are like my family. It was the hardest to say goodbye to familia Cordeva and familia Melo. Because these 2 families I've grown to love so much. I bawled, it was kinda embarrassing but whatever.

Also yesterday Argentina played in the mundial and it was crayyyyyyyyy. It was so crazy after the game. Screaming, noises, whistles. It was fun! We were at familia Melo's and painted our faces and stuff!  I'll send pics next week!!!

Also Maxy who is 12 years and is the brother to one of our miembro inactivo accepted a bautismo date and is getting baptized the 3rd week in Julio. I'm sad I'll miss it but he is seriously amazing and has so much faith. He read 11 CHAPTERS IN THE BOOK OF MORMON. 11 chapters. For one it's super rare for an investigator to even read. Let alone 11 chapters. I wanted to cry. He's amazing and his uncle is so excited for him. He's a member and talked in church this Sunday on how amazing it was to see his nephew reading the scriptures. I'm excited for him!

Anyway, I hope things are going good at home and that you guys are preparing for trek! So excited to hear about your amazing experiences! I'm off have a good week.

Hola familia!!!!

Que rapido este semaña no!!!! Seriously so fast!!!!! This week was supes good though! But also really hard! We dropped basically all of our investigators! So that sucked. We have one solid investigator! He is 12 and so tight! He's the hermano of a miembro inactivo that we're working with! Marcela! I love her so much! She´s funny! When she found out there were transfers this week, YA TRANSFERS THIS WEEK! Freaking out, she's like pray and read the scriptures lots that you won't get transferred! because we taught her the importance of them both! hahaha so funny!!!

The p-day pasado was so much fun!!!!!!!! We went to Gomez where this family lives and had a time! They had steak and like every other kind of meat! It was delicious! We all ate so much! Then we took a camión to this place to play fútbol and it was so much fun!! It was the first time I played real fútbol here! It was awesome! =) Then we went back and ate some more, heated up the meat, ate some more. Sinned a little because the TV was on and listened to some beats! haha probably the best p-day here!

Ok also as missionaries we're teaching the importancia about family search. (sorry i can't speak english very well i think) anyway seriously I have so much done on family search, it's crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who did it all!??? Pictures and everything! It's amazing! Seriously a huge blessing! Also question for Grandma Miller! How did your family get to Canada??? And how did you become a member! I want the conversion story =) I want Grandma Bourne's too!!

Ok what else. Mom I got your package! The hymnbook! Whoooo finally! =) Gracias!

Ok the story of my bruise. My fall. The worst. So we were doing service...cleaning the church. I was putting away the tables, like lifting them on top of the other, because I'm strong and can do that stuff ya. I lifted the last one... it wasn't put together and when I tipped it on the side, the wood part came off, pushed the metal structure over and knocked my feet out. I couldn't even break my fall, it was so hard, my watch snapped, I thought I broke my back for a second ahahha. Ok not really but really. Then I bawled, I tried to play it tuff, but it actually hurt so bad. Hermanas went and bought ice and I sat in the bathroom, with Hermana Villalobas who was trying not to faint because she can't see people in pain. When they got back with the ice, they said we're going to the hospital. I'm like what? It's a bruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They had called Hermana Ehmke, she's the nurse in Neuquén, she thought I might have internal bleeding. hahahahaha My companion called a taxi and we went the the clinic, it was a lot of pesos and  I'm like no so we left and everything is good. Besides I feel like I ran into a tree and have a bruise the size of my head. haha, stories to tell!

Anyway that's my life this week! I think the 5 million pictures I sent can tell more! Haha love you guys so much! Have a good week! =)

Love Hermana Miller

My life this week. Supes eventful, eh!!!!
All the photos with the leaves and cute stuff is in the frontera. It's a 30 minute bus ride to this area and there's only about 10 houses. The day we went, no one was home so we ended up just taking a bunch of pictures! hahaha

Also there with Angela Cordoba, she's awesome. Served a mission and
knows a lot! She accompanies us a lot! Love her like a sister!

The mission allows bikes now, so we've had fun with them this week! haha little did we know we needed helmets, but we found some supes dorky ones. It's so embarrassing! lol but way more convenient!!!!

That's my bruise.  Don't worry grandma I've been putting master key on it every hour haha!!

Familia Melo! Love this family so much! We had a Noche de Hogar (FHE) in their house yesterday  The kids are crazzyyyy! Hermano Melo was having fun with my camera and snapped the one of the fish. es copado! ahha

My super awesome fun p-day
