Monday, June 2, 2014 - 5 months today!!

HOLA FAMILIA!!!!!

Well this week was such fun....not. Probably one of the harder weeks here I'd say. So this week started off with my companion having pain in her leg again, but it was a lot of pain. She couldn't leave the pension for 2 days. So I got to do intercambios with a member and a member stayed with her for a couple hours those 2 days.

I was with Hermana Angela Cordeva! Seriously love her! She's like my sister haha her and her sister Lorena! Angela also served a mission so I learnt a lot from her! She served in Buenos Aires south, where Baylee has her mission call! Tight eh.

When I was with Angela all of our plans bailed so we just contacted, es la peor. Haha but we found a new investigator, I invited her to be baptized and she wants to be baptized and it's awesome! It felt so good! I felt like a missionary! Like I can do missionary things!!!

Also we changed our pension this week! That was fun...hah. But seriously our new pension is so nice. I actually had a shower longer than 5 minutes because it wasn't totally disgusting!!!!!!! LOL

But really this week has been hard. We've dropped a lot of our investigators because they're just not progressing. Which sucks! I felt like I was breaking up with my boyfriend or something!!!!! It was sad. To care so much for someone and want them to have the gospel, but when they're not completing your compromisos. It's hard to give them your time when there are others who need the gospel! Jorge is one of them. We told him that he needs to find the desire to read and pray to be baptized, and that we can't always teach him. That we aren't here to be his friends, we're here to invite people to come unto Christ. So we'll see where things go with him, because he's always at the church and everything!

Also familia Melo (the awesome family that let me skype in their home) they got really offended at church and decided they don't want to go to church anymore. I legit bawled in their house. Quite embarrassing, but when the mom is crying and the dad has tears in his eyes it's kinda hard not to cry. Seriously care so much for this family! We go to their house quite often, they just remind us of our families and they need the help and love from the missionaries. But I've never prayed so hard to have help on what to say. It was so heartbreaking. I only pray that they will be forgiving and find the joy that comes from attending church.

This week also has been hard, because we just don't have any investigators. Which sucks. It's so hard to find and teach people, when we can't leave the pension, when we walk slow, when people slam doors in our face. Seriously so hard this week. But heck it's the mission. Our purpose here is only to invite those to come unto Christ. We can't force people to join the church. Only to invite and if they don't accept there's nothing we can do. It's sad how people don't care about God or Christ. Seriously I've been thinking a lot of how some people on earth seriously don't understand their purpose here. What a blessing we have in our lives to know and understand our purpose here on earth. That we can receive uncountable blessings because of our faith.

This gospel seriously is so amazing! I think it's something that we take for granted a lot of the time. I know I did. I rarely attended all the church meetings and definitely didn't have a good attitude about always attending. But sacrament meeting and all the classes are a huge blessing.

I miss church back home! Appreciate those little things! How kids don't run up and down the church stand, or how the chapel always has water, none the less, hot water. Or how we have a beautiful capilla with carpet and cleaning supplies. I encourage you all to have the desire to go to church with a good attitude, and an attitude to feel the spirit in your lives, and to learn a lot. You can learn so much in church it's crayyyy. I also encourage you all to understand and think about why we take the la santa cena! the sacrament.

Love you all! Hope everything is so good back home! Miss you guys like cray cray! Love you to the moon and back!

Ok so my companion had problems with her leg and we were in the emergency for like a whole day! She couldn't walk, it was bad! Things are better now, we just walk really slow!

Also this week we went to an old folks home to visit and be nice and stuff and the boss FLIPS out, yelling he doesn't want any religion. We're like ok, bye. It was kinda scary, he got super hostile. We're like we only have a play....

Also we had a conference with the President and it was really good! I could understand almost all of it! My spanish is getting a lot better eh!

Love the mission! Love the members!!!!

Read your scriptures everyday!!! So proud of you mom and that you have the desire to finish before trek! I encourage everyone to read! Pray as a family! Have FHE! Have the Spirit in the house! It will bless you all SO MUCH! It's something I teach everyday and I know it can help you guys be united as a family!!!!!!

FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLA! TENGO NO MUCHO TIEMPO! PERO TE QUIERE MUCHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off Jaymi was absolutely gorgeous! Seriously you're such a babe James! I love you so much and I did my best not to bawl my face off Friday when I was in bed at 10:00 knowing you were walking in your gorgeous dress. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

This week was cray. We've been searching and searching for a new pension because our rent is done May 31st. So ya wish us luck. We found one and hope we can change this week. Hallelujah!!! haha

Jorge didn't get baptized this Saturday =( It was really sad. He's struggling with just taking the leap of faith to get baptized. He says his parents don't want him to be baptized but we think it's just an excuse. So we're working with him to be baptized in a month!!! Seriously, I'm out of time, spent all my time drooling at Jaymi's pictures! Love you guys!

Que tenga un buen semana! no se si este es correcto, pero TE AMO MI FAMILIA!!!!

This week has been really good, but also really hard. Hermana Inga is amazing! She's like the trainer I never had haha. She's really obediente. I don't remember how to spell it in english haha and she has taught me soooooo much!!!!!!! She really encourages me to talk in the lessons. Sometimes I'll look at her for help and she just gives me this little smirk and I know I have to continue teaching! It's so hard, but I'm so grateful for her!!!! Plus she actually like eats food! When we went shopping she bought actual food and I was like whatttttt, the stove works? Haha, all Hermana Morales ate was cereal. We've had pancakes, eggs, everything for breakfast, we even made pizza one day for lunch. It's awesome!!!!!

Suerte to Jaymi this weekend for grad!! You're going to be beautiful!!!! I want pictures ASAP por favor!! Haha man I'm so excited for you. This sounds stupid, but I feel like i just graduated. =( Like 2 years later. Ugh I hate. Haha, also hope your shoulder feels better!!! Praying for you booooo!!!

Monday, May 5, 2014 (4 months)

So this week, I feel like not a lot has happened, but we went to Neuquén this week for a conference with Elder Viñas! I didn't really understand anything, but our zone had been practicing like crazy a song that we'd sing for it. I played the piano for it! So much nervous, but it went super good!!!!!

Also we have transfers today and I'm kinda totally freaking out! =llllll ahhhh!!!! My new companion is Hermana Inga, she's from Peru and doesn't know any English. So ya, this will be fun!

Also when we were in Neuquén we had 3 mattresses on the floor and 4 missonaries, 2 nights before that we had another hermana stay with us in our pension, 2 mattresses and 3 people.  But that morning in Neuquén a freaking cat was on my face in the morning. Hermana Morales woke me up yelling ¨GATO!!¨ so I took my pillow and hit this cat so hard. It comes back again like wanting to cuddle. We all know I hate animals, let alone cats. So I hit it again and we were laughing so hard and the other hermanas were shhhhhhing us!!!!! It was like 5 in the morning. Such crazy!!!!

But this week is good! We have an investigator who is progressing like crazy!!! Jorge Luis! He's bomb! He has a date set to be baptized, 17 de Mayo, May 17th!!! Such excited!!!

I love this work! It is so true! I love the gospel! Seriously it is such a blessing! Love you guys!!!

SEE YOU IN A WEEK!!!! AHHHH!!!
LOVE LOVE KENZ!

Ok you ready for this week! Haha, well we had our baptism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoa!!!!! It was so awesome and spiritual and amazing! as usual! Our ward actually had 3 baptisms!  So amazing! I love this gospel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this week we had interviews! With the president! It was really good! I bawled in my interview! President Lovell is seriously amazing! He said the perfect things and it was exactly what I needed!!!!

Funny experience this week! Ok so we went to this inactive members house, his name is Claudio. He's around 60 years old, he's really nice and is really progressing! He actually attended church yesterday! I like him! Anyway we went to his house and the member that was with us went to go knock on his door and we waited outside the house. His house is behind another house so we couldn't see anything, but time was going by and after 10 minutes Hermana Morales walked in. Claudio's face is covered in blood and his friend is there bawling. I'm thinking something bad happened like Claudio is dying or something right. I find out that his friend is drunk and was crying because he needs God. He's singing evangelic songs and still bawling. Waving his hand in my face and laughing. Hahahah it was so weird. He's said I look like his daughter. It was weird. Oh and Claudio fell asleep with a wound on his head that dripped down his face while he was sleeping. So ya it was weird, the spirit was not present haha even though we tried!

Oh and this week all the missionaries have like 0 money. Haha it sucks! It's so expensive here! We live off of $80 a month, so 800 pesos. It's kinda funny. It's so hard to exchange my american money here too. I won't do it in a bank because they gip you so much! But there's a member here who I changed 100 dollars with so now I have lots of money for the week! haha

My companion went to Barijoche for the day to do visa stuff so I was with the Heremana leaders! It was fun! They're crazy! But I love them! The missionaries here are so bomb! I'm finally starting to open up and make friends. I'm so shy it's stupid. It's really hard for me to be myself, maybe because I can't even talk, but it's coming.

The other day we went to Chacras, the Fronterra and we had a lesson with a reference. I was sharing my testimony about how the gospel has blessed my family and he does like a T for timeout only 2 sentences in and he's like I don't understand anything she says. Well thank you. I did everything in my power not to bawl my face off in that moment! =( so rude

Also this week we had a FABULOUS lesson with this family whose baby had died. Remember when I told you we went to the funeral. Ya it's this family! We taught about the plan of salvation and I shared my story about Jorden in my broken Spanish. But the spirit was so strong, my companion was crying, I was almost crying, and after when the mom was talking she was crying. I think I was crying because I just want them to have the Gospel so much, because I know that it will change their lives. They kept saying how they don't understand anything. Why their baby died, they just didn't understand! We have all the answers! We have anther lesson with them this Saturday! I hope they feel the Spirit in their lives telling them this is the right thing for them!

I have so much more to write, but I'm already over my time! Hope you guys liked the pictures! So happy you made it back home safe and sound dad and Keat! What an amazing experience!

LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!XOXOXOXO

Monday, April 21, 2014

Hola familia, I don't have a lot of time this week, so this letter will be a short one.

We didn´t have our baptism... it was terrible. No water in the church. Nothing like working with an investigator for a month and then the day of the baptism it couldn't happen. It was really disappointing, so we planned for the next day, Sunday. No water that day either, so we're planning for this Saturday! Her name is Paloma, she's 12 years old. She's actually a member but doesn't have any papers or proof she was baptized so we've been working with her. I love that family. Family Melo. They're awesome! They're so caring and loving, kinda reminds me of my family! =)

This week was good. I kinda can't remember what we did, I'm feeling a little rushed. We went to Paso Cordova one day to our investigators house. Also 2 of our investigators this week want nothing more to do with us. So that was fun, not! One investigators brother (who is a member) called us and said she doesn't want any more lessons. She thought it was only 3 lessons and that's it, she's done. It makes me sad when people give up like that but what can you do, we tried. Maybe we touched her life enough that one day in the future she'll want to learn more.

All is good here though. The members are great! The life is great. The people are great. The mission is great, sometimes. I miss you guys so much! Can't wait to skypeee on Mother's Day!

Love you all!
